The Summer 1930 issue of "SHAVERTRON", published by Richard Toronto, carried the following account of a mysterious ritual which researchers have felt may be Atlantean in origin.
Tradition has it that in the early years of this century, two traders who dealt in animal skins and small amounts of different types of minerals, stumbled one day into a remote trading post located north and west of Carlsbad, New Mexico.
At the trading post, they excitedly recounted the events of the previous day's exploration of the desolate Guadalupe Mountain range. The traders explained that they had been looking for mineral deposits when they came upon a large cavern.
They soon discovered, upon going a few hundred feet into the cavern, that they could faintly hear chanting voices. Overcome by fear, they doused their torches and crept forward -- ever deeper into the earth.
At last, they came upon a light shining from a large room ahead. They slowly crawled toward the light until they were astonished to see, in the center of the room, robed figures, in a circle around a great altar stone.
Upon the altar rested the largest and most magnificent crystal they had ever seen. The traders stated that the large crystal was the source of a flickering light, which emitted a white light which pulsated with the rising and the falling of the chanting voices.
Suddenly the chanting stopped, and the crystal reportedly began to speak in a tongue more musical than vocal. The traders stated that it was more like a xylophone sounding tone - very eerie!
A similar phenomenon allegedly took place centuries before as explained in the Spring 1981 issue of THE NEW ATLANTEAN JOURNAL. In the article, the crystal was reportedly located in the Sun Temple of old Cusco, Peru. The 'white stone' (crystal?) was called by the Incans "IUMCRUNU" and was said to function as both an oracle and as a crystal because it depicted pictures or visions of the future and of the past! At the instant the chanting stopped, the traders were horrified to see the crystal start to slowly ascent to the top of the cavern, until it reached the ceiling of the great room.
While it was suspended among the long, sharp hanging rocks of the ceiling, it began to dim, and the robed figures again started to chant. Then, in a single line, slowly descended into the depths of the cave. The traders, badly frightened, quickly departed the desolate area.
To this day, no one knows who the robed figures were, or what the purpose was of their chanting.
Ancient manuscripts tell of crystals that speak or pulsate and even levitate! Because of the great powers attributed to the Sun Temple crystal, the Spanish, on a predetermined day, burned the crystal to discourage the Indians interest in it and to "increase the belief in Christianity" (which is not true CHRISTianity since they make Mary an equal "savior" with Christ - Branton).
While it burned, however, ancient manuscripts record that those present heard loud and anguished screams coming from the stone itself. In the light of 20th Century -technology, which we take for granted, lasers, TV; computers and satellites - this account is really not so very farfetched!
