THE IMPOVERISHED PRINCE

There was once a family who lived in a foreign country overseas, who wanted to come to America and start a new life.

The father knew that it would cost more money than he had, so in the course of a few years the family sacrificed and saved their money, the kids mowing lawns, having Cool-Aid stands, delivering papers and whatever else they could do to earn a little money.

Finally, the time came when they had enough money to buy tickets for each family member to sail on board a ship to America.

At last, they were on the ship, but the father wanted his family to be fed on the journey, so a couple of days earlier he had spent the remainder of the limited funds that he had, to buy some cheese and crackers to feed his family on their way to the new world. He calculated the amount to buy, however he did not know that the ship would be a few days late getting to its destination because of rough weather.

The father knew that other wealthy passengers would be fed by the ships' cook and kitchen, but he was grateful to have what his family did have.

A few days before they were to reach America, the cheese and crackers were depleted.

One of the ship's "mates" saw how sad and depressed the father was, and asked him why he was so unhappy.

The father explained that they had just run out of the food that they had brought for the trip, and he was depressed because he could no longer feed his family for the next few days.

Then the ship's Mate looked at him with astonishment and he asked the father if he could see his ticket.

After looking at the ticket, the Mate showed the father some small writing on the back of the ticket that said that the cost of the voyage also included three meals a day from the kitchen, and that he and his family were NOT claiming that which was RIGHTFULLY THEIRS!

The Holy Bible says that once we confess our sins to Almighty God, and are saved and "Born Again", we not only have PEACE with God, but we ALSO HAVE access to the FULL RESOURCES of the blessing of His Heavenly Kingdom...
